This yearly weekend Primary Series intensive is a thorough investigation into the primary series of ashtanga yoga, also called Yoga Chikitsa, yoga therapy. Come explore the subtleties of the practice as well as learn the basic physical movements required in order to safely move through the primary series of ashtanga yoga.
A detailed look at breath, bandha, drishti and vinyasa will be paramount in this workshop bringing the practitioner closer to themselves and closer to the practice than before.

First half of the Primary Series: standing postures to Janu Sirsasana C
Saturday 2-5 pm
Second half of the Primary Series: Marichyasana A through the rest of Primary Series
Sunday 10am - 1pm
Backbending and Upward Dog - a glimpse into Shushumna Nadi and the elusive Uddiyana Bandha and pranayama
Sunday 3 pm - 5 pm
Finishing Postures Unravelled: a detailed look at the inversions in the practice finishing with pranayama, meditation and chanting.
Pre-requisites: All levels are welcome.
