This exploration of backbending done right after loads of forward folding is ideal because the back hasn’t been fatigued from a big backbend earlier in the series (like, say Kapotasana in Intermediate - it is a big pose, so often during backbending, the body is tired). This kind of practical application of backbending is wise, as you can find insight into your legs that you already used so carefully while forward bending - and apply that sincerity into your backbend. <br><br>Don’t forget to email me if you want the recording!</p></div>

Even Dena calls it being a ‘machine’. This experience is actually quite common for long-term practitioners - there will come a time when there needs to be a healthy break. Sometimes it is an injury that benches us for two months, a pregnancy for a year and a half, or even a loss in one’s heart will make one stop practicing for a while…even just a move or a change of teachers…there could be many reasons why one stops practicing. And if one feels the practice summon them back in their pulse, the practice will naturally come back. Some days you do lots of yoga, some days very little.
